About
Emerie Eck Gentry is the owner of Lagniappe P.R.I.M.E., LLC., a public relations, integrated marketing, and event planning business dedicated to going the extra mile for clients. She works with several businesses such as Skinny Louisiana, Highland Jazz and Blues Festival, Red River Revel Arts Festival, Sci-Port Discovery Center and more in order to grow their footprint in our region and beyond and showcase their strengths through effective public relations, creative integrated marketing, and engaging events.
A Shreveport native, Emerie earned her High School Diploma from Northwood High School in 1999. In 2006, she obtained her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration from Bossier Parish Community College. She also obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Louisiana Tech University in August of 2018.
Emerie is very passionate about her community. Over the years, she has served on various boards and committees to help strengthen the community as a whole. She is currently serving on the Public Relations Association on Louisiana – Northwest Chapter Board of Directors as President Elect and just finished her second term as the Vice President of Membership. Emerie also serves on the Board of Directors for the Providence House, Secretary for the Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association, and Community Relations Committee for the Shreveport Job Corps Center. She is also volunteering her time as Chairman for the 11th Annual ARTini, Bossier Arts Council’s signature fundraiser. Emerie is a member of Rotary Club of Bossier City and Business Networking International (BNI) Lagniappe Chapter. In 2016, completed her third term as Chairman for the Young Professional Initiative (YPI) of Northwest Louisiana and rounded out her seven year term on the Executive Committee in 2017. Prior to serving as Chairman, she tackled such roles as the Membership Chair, Social Chair, and 40 Under 40 Co-Chair. Under her leadership, along with her amazing team, YPI grew in numbers, projects, participation, and events. Other positions and organizations which Emerie has been involved with includes the 2016 Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, 2014 Souvenir Committee Chair for the James Burton International Guitar Festival, the Veterans for Veterans Silent Auction Committee in 2012 and 2013, Mudbug Madness, Red River Revel, Louisiana Prize Foundation, and many others.
She is a graduate of the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations’ 2012 Community Leadership Program. Emerie was honored as Junior Achievement of North Louisiana’s New Outstanding School Coordinator for 2009 – 2010. She was named as one of Southern Hospitality Magazine’s Most Fascinating People of Shreveport/Bossier City for 2015 and was given the Business Award of Excellence: Miss Congeniality in 2016 by the same publication. Emerie received the Very Important Volunteer Award (VIVA) from the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce in 2015 for her outstanding service and commitment to that organization. Emerie was honored as a top six finalist for the inaugural Virginia K. Shehee Most Influential Woman Award in 2015. She was selected as a 40 Under 40 Honoree by the Young Professional Initiative of Northwest Louisiana and named the Young Professional of the Year in 2018 by the Young Professional Initiative, Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, and Bossier Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, Emerie was named the 2021 Local Businessperson of the Year for Shreveport by Alignable.
Emerie is a dynamic, driven, outgoing, and thoughtful individual. She is a community crusader, epic event planner, and business management, public relations, and marketing professional that is innovative and trailblazing. She is a loyal family member and friend. Emerie is dedicated to working hard and being a good role model for her community and her two sons, Ethan and Trevor.
